We flew for my birthday and both the Blue Skies team and the group we flew with were wonderful. Our pilot, Mitch, was professional and kept us laughing with his dad jokes. We felt very safe and had a smooth landing. Marlon was wonderful and we loved the story he shared with us about the history of air balloon flights and the blessing ceremony. The food that Louise and her team at Fergusson Winery prepared for us was delicious and hearty. I believe the service we got from this independent group was above and beyond what you might get from a commercial – we had a smaller group and more personalised service. Also, a big thank you to Sue for being so organised and making the booking process easy.

Wow!!! This was our first balloon experience and it was amazing and perfect. Blue skies ballooning was terrific right from the beginning with booking to keeping us updated through covid lock downs and rebooking due to Melbourne’s typical dodgy weather. The team on flight day were amazing. They were attentive and professional and our pilot Mitch and driver Brett were a delight to be with. I highly recommend Blue skies ballooning.

Totally exhilarating and unforgettable experience with Blue Skies Ballooning this morning with a hot air balloon flight over the Yarra Valley. Spectacular views whilst watching the amazing sunrise. The booking experience and day was seamless, and well planned. Sue was very friendly over the phone to answer any questions I had. The whole crew was amazing. Special mention to Mitch, our friendly pilot – very knowledgeable and a perfect host. Gave us clear instructions and we felt comfortable under his experienced flying. Very tranquil ride, so you can really enjoy the incredible views! Absolutely loved it. I’d highly recommend doing this atleast once!

This was an amazing experience from the very start where we assisted the Blue Skies Ballooning Team to inflate the balloon & launch it over the magnificent Yarra valley just as dawn was breaking on a gorgeous morning & perfect ballooning conditions. Thanks to Mitch our Pilot for an excellent flight & to Barry who moved us to the launch site then back to Ferguson’s Winery for our magnificent champagne breakfast. An absolutely awe inspiring experience, I could not recommend Blue Skies Ballooning highly enough.
Our pilot, Mitch, and his teammate, Marlon are absolute guns. Super friendly, extremely professional and knowledgeable and more than willing to share and explain everything about ballooning.
These guys have a true passion for ballooning and it shows in the service they deliver.
The balloon ride itself was amazing, an experience I will never forget. The views over the Yarra Valley are spectacular. I really liked the fact that they use a small basket for their flights, holding a max of 10 people, which keeps the flight nice and intimate. I seen some other balloons from other operators with much larger baskets holding 20ish people.
Just before the concluding winery breakfast at Fergusson Winery (which was also top notch), Mitch also held a small ceremony once which briefly explained the history of ballooning and the traditions that are followed after a balloon flight, which was a very nice touch.

Wonderful experience from go to Woe. The ease of booking through Sue, with regular updates and information that was sent. The day was filled with lots of information and fun times from our pilot Marlon. Chris and Brett were very entertaining throughout the day and also with packing up the balloon. This was a gift for my wife who was initially unsure about going along.
